Amino Acids

Amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, occur in all tissues of the human body and are the foundation of protein in its purest form. Humans acquire amino acids by synthesizing them in the body (nonessential amino acids) or by ingesting them (essential amino acids) in foods, beverages and nutritional supplements.

Ajinomoto Co. was established in 1909 and launched the crystal of essential amino acids in 1956. Ajinomoto Co. is a world leader in the production and supply of amino acids and is widely recognized as the standard of quality in amino acids for some of world’s largest food and pharmaceutical brands.
